VIF doesn't require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the app.
Your photos and project data are stored locally on your device. We don't upload or store them on our servers.
We don't sell your data or show you ads. Your usage of VIF is never sold to third parties.
This Privacy Policy describes how VIF ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of the VIF: Punchlists & Reports application ("the App") on iOS and iPadOS devices.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your data.
Information stored on your device only:
Information processed externally:
Information we do not collect:
VIF requests access to your device's camera in order to capture photos for punchlists. The app may also access device orientation and compass data (using Core Motion and Core Location APIs) to record directional information as captions on your photos.
These permissions are used only within the app to support its core features. You can manage app permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.
VIF uses artificial intelligence to analyze your job-site photos and suggest punchlist items. When you trigger AI analysis, the photo is transmitted over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI processing service. The response — a list of suggested punch items — is returned to your device.
We do not retain copies of your photos on our servers. The AI service processes your photo solely for the purpose of generating punch item suggestions and does not use it for training AI models or any other purpose, consistent with applicable data processing agreements.
Reports generated by VIF are created and stored on your device. You choose when and how to share them — via AirDrop, email, messaging, or any other method available through iOS's standard share sheet.
When you share a report, the contents of that report (photos, punch items, project details, your company logo) are transmitted via the method you select. We have no involvement in or visibility into reports you choose to share.
If you choose to use the Autodesk Build integration, you will be asked to authenticate with your Autodesk account. VIF uses Autodesk's official API and OAuth authentication flow. Your Autodesk credentials are never visible to or stored by VIF — authentication is handled entirely by Autodesk.
Punchlist items and related data that you choose to push to Autodesk Build are transmitted directly to Autodesk's servers and are subject to Autodesk's Privacy Policy.
All data created within VIF — including your photos, projects, and reports — is stored exclusively on your device. You can delete this data at any time by deleting individual items within the app or by deleting the app from your device entirely.
Deleting the app from your device will remove all locally stored app data. We do not maintain copies of your data on external servers, so there is no additional deletion request required.
VIF is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app in a way that provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we may also notify users through the App Store update notes.
Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can contact us via the Contact page on this website.
